Located high in the mountains is Kufri that offers weary travellers a chance to enjoy some fresh air and admire natural environs. Even though a lot of people come to Shimla, they are unaware that just a few miles away is Kufri, which is just as beautiful, if not more. A trip to Mahasu or Deshu peaks would make the entire journey worthwhile as both these places offer stunning views of the magnificent Himalayas.
While Kufri might not be as well known as some of the other destinations in Himachal, there is no denying that this little town has its own charm. There are small shops, which offer knick-knacks and souvenirs to take home. The local eateries offer hot and fresh snacks, besides steaming cups of tea/coffee.
